Coaching With Alex Jeffreys Update #3
December 9th, 2008 . by Jeff McCallJust wanted to keep you up to date on what I’ve been doing regarding promoting the free ebook over there in the sidebar.
Well I decided that in addition to the traditional article marketing I’d try some of this web 2.0 stuff. So as well as continue to add my three articles to article directories I also created a video.
Take a look at the video first and then I’ll tell you how it was created…
It was very quick and straightforward to do. The steps I used were as follows…
-
Created a simple powerpoint presentation answering the questions in people’s heads.
-
Recorded the presentation in real time using the Camtasia Powerpoint plug-in with the audio switched off.
-
Selected a royalty-free music track and added it where the voice track usually goes in Camtasia.
-
Rendered the video using the YouTube preset that produces an .mp4 file.
-
Wrote a title, description and list of tags for the video.
-
Uploaded the video to a number of video sites using TubeMogul.com
I’m now going through the process of book marking the video from each of these sites on social sites.
Here’s a good tip when you’re using video on YouTube. Make sure at the beginning of your description to use the full URL of the site you’re promoting. When your video is published you’ll then have a clickable link right alongside the video player that visitors can click on to get to your offer.
That’s it for now. There’s another webinar scheduled for tonight so I’ll have more to report later this week.
Be successful.

Hi Jeff,
Great tip about putting the url in the first part of the description.
We have a lot of newbies in the coaching class. You might want to make a video on how to use Power Point as well.
I’ve got you on my blog roll, stop by mine when you get a chance.

Hi Jeff,
I just saw your video and it looks really good. Its great to see that you’re coaching your audience through your blog and I was
wondering if you might be able to help me through the Alex Jefferey’s community.
I have done a blog on wordpress but since module 2 I have placed Alex’s squeeze page onto my website and I can’t get my blog seen because of it. So, I would like to find out how I can get my blog back online again with the squeeze page much smaller on the right hand side of the blog.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Guy
Hi Jeff,
Well done for using Camtasia. I like your video. I got Camtasia last week and need to create my first video very soon.
I put the post this morning on my site and aksed my fellow students whether they had any experience with some other coaching programs as i have heard some unbelievable stories last night on the call. Anyway if you have 2 min have a look…
Keep up good work.

Hi Jeff, I’m supposed to learn how to do videos this weekend and you just made my job SO MUCH easier. Thanks!
By the way, now that your video is done, check out TubeMogul.com. You upload your video once and it distributes it to up to 24 different video sites.
Good luck and thanks again,

Hiya, Jeff:
Well, I hardly feel worthy to comment – you’re obviously a tech talent to be reckoned with. I’d heard your name mentioned in hushed tones on another blog I visited.
Still, comment I will. Your site looks great, and I hope you’re prepared to be swamped with calls for help from the tech challenged among Alex’s group!
I’ve got your site bookmarked, and your blog on my roll – hope you’ll drop by my site in all your free time and consider me worth a link back.
Cheers,
Susan

PS did you make the video? if so great job
Hi Jeff,
I just finished the 1st draft of my first ebook and
I wondered if you could help me?
I get many questions a day on my blog and by email about
blog related topics. So the book I am putting together
answers most of these, but I would like to know if you
can think of anything else that could be included. Even
better would be any questions you want answered.
The ebook covers WordPress settings, changing the header,
widgets, plugings, adding aweber, adsense, adverts and more.
I have just posted on my blog so if you can think of anything else
I should cover, please leave a comment.
Thanks!

Hi Jeff,
Great blog – is that you reading the newspaper?
Just introducing myself as a fellow student
and would like to compliment you on your entries. You’re obviously an expert!
I’ve made a list of all the students on my site, not on the blogroll but as a separate page. You’re on there so you might want to pop over some time.
Meanwhile, keep up the good work.
Best wishes and good luck.
